Product description
Ubiquiti EdgePoint EP-R6 is an outdoor Gigabit Router with output POE support on all 5 Ethernet ports and input POE on the first port. With this product, you no longer have to pull the cables from the roof to the lower floors for each active element separately, or invent a complex solution including an outdoor cabinet, switch installation, power and POE. You now have all in one.
Connector equipment
The device has (5) 10/100/1000Mbps POE-enabled Ethernet ports, (1) 1Gbps SFP port and DC terminal block for direct power connection. The whole device is powered by a dual-core processor clocked on 600MHz, 2GB RAM and internal storage size of 4GB.
POE IN - The Ethernet power supply for the EdgePoint ER-R6 has its limits, and for multiple connected devices, it is recommended to use the DC terminal power supply. If necessary, ports No. 1 are designated for the POE IN purpose. When using the POE IN on port 1, it is not possible to use the POE Out function on this port at the same time.
POE Out - Power to other devices is supported on all 5 ports with a 0.7A / port limit. This is a power supply on the wires (+4, 5; -7, 8). These ports are designed to power eg: NanoBeam.
Great EdgeOS operating system
Thanks to the highly sophisticated EdgeOS operating system, it is possible to take advantage of basic switch functions, configuration and PoE monitoring and advanced features such as VLAN configuration, RSTP, Link aggregation, DHCP snooping, RADIUS authentication and routing.
